In many cases yes, as long as nothing new has been written over them. Remove the card from the device, don't format it and keep it until we evaluate it.
My USB drive asks to be formatted. What should I do?
Don't accept. The message means the system can't read the file structure, but the data is usually still on the drive. Formatting it makes recovery harder.
Can a cracked microSD card or a USB drive with a broken connector be recovered?
Sometimes, yes. On monolithic memory, the chips can be accessed directly with specialized techniques. The chances depend on the damage, which we determine in the evaluation.
Do you recover videos from security cameras, dashcams or drones?
Yes. Since these cameras record continuously and overwrite older footage, it's key to stop recording and remove the card as soon as you notice a video is missing.
